Bruce C. O’Donnell is president of STARBOARD Realty Group. Bruce is a fifth generation Coloradoan with an extensive background in land use, entitlements, master planning and real estate development; as well as infrastructure and water development. STARBOARD specializes in project management and processing for land development, entitlements, pre-development services, master planning and the securing of all types of governmental approvals for real estate development projects.
Mr. O’Donnell, who’s twenty plus years of experience in successfully processing and securing approvals for annexations, zoning, subdivisions, site plans and water rights; as well as master planning and solving for urban design, water conservation and transportation solutions, has entitled over 10,000 acres of land, including water resource management and infrastructure finance in multiple Colorado jurisdictions. Bruce has extensive experience and expertise organizing and working with numerous metropolitan and special districts throughout Colorado, including financing, designing and constructing public infrastructure and water systems serving all types of real estate developments and communities.

Mr. O’Donnell recently completed his third term as a Planning Commissioner for the City and County of Denver. While a Denver Planning Board member he served on the City’s Land Use and Transportation Plan Advisory Committee which oversaw the creation of Denver’s Land Use and Transportation Plan, Blueprint Denver.
Bruce serves as Treasurer and is on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Colorado District, is a member of the Downtown Denver Partnership; and is on the board of the Colorado Historical Foundation Revolving Loan Fund.

Suzanne began her real estate career in 2004 as an attorney in the Real Estate, Development, Land Use and Finance group at the Denver based law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen, LLP (now Bryan Cave LLP). In this capacity, she has successfully taken numerous large real estate transactions to the closing table, both on behalf of buyers and banks. She has worked with municipalities and counties in numerous jurisdictions in the permitting process and has assisted clients with both the acquisition and development of their property. In 2008, Suzanne transitioned to a real estate consulting firm as a Senior Project Manager assisting clients with all aspects of real estate development including complex due diligence, entitlements and permitting issues. In this capacity, Suzanne turned her focus to the business side of the real estate marketplace.
Suzanne joined Starboard in early 2016. In this capacity, she manages complex due diligence and entitlement projects both for developer and non-real estate clients in both the private and public sector. This work includes work on rezonings and annexations, as well as general land use advisory services. While Suzanne is not practicing law at STARBOARD, she brings experience in both the legal and business aspects of real estate development to Starboard as well as a commitment to assisting her clients with even the most complicated real estate issues.
Suzanne graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 2004 with honors (Order of St. Ives). While at DU, she was selected as a teaching assistant in the legal writing program and worked with Professor Jan Laitos on the 2003 update to Law of Property Rights Protection Limitations on Governmental Powers. Prior to entering law school, Suzanne was the International Media Relations Coordinator for an international business newswire. She graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN with a degree in history. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband, Ben and their children as well as running, skiing and cooking."
